When I began to make knives in 2014, I didnt realize how much I would fall in love with the process. Fast forward nearly 10 years, I have been able to my passion into my own business.
My name is Grayson Jennings, and I live in Winston Salem, NC. At the age of 15, I made what some might consider to by my first “knife”. I originally began forging knives from flea market steel until I found out that there was such as thing as real knife steel. As time evolved, so did my tooling and knowledge. Fast forward to the year 2021, I began to push my limits as a fixed blade maker, focusing more so on semi-production making rather than full custom work. In fall of 2022, I decided to try my hand at making slip joints, and from that point on, that’s all I have wanted to make. I was honored at the 2024 Blade show Texas with the “Best Incoming Guild Member” from the Knifemakers guild. I appreciate the classic look, feel, and construction of slip joints, but enjoy adding a modern day twist to the designs and materials. I have continued to push my limits as a craftsman, striving to make some of the most aesthetically pleasing and mechanically tuned folders.
